Example Test Agent Scripts

TestMaker includes a library of example agents to show practical ways to use the script language and TestMaker environment. The agents are found in testmaker_home/example_agents/. Here is a short description of each example agent.

Additionally, the PushToTest Wiki site has additional resources, including a set of tech tips. Send your agent to info@pushtotest.com to be included in the TestMaker distribution.

File Name	Description
ChartResults.py	Shows how to use the Meters and Charts tab of the Output window to visualize the results of a test.
Gestalt.py	Gestalt is a reference to many system and environment parameters available to TestMaker test agent scripts.
HTTP_Example.py	Shows how to use TestMaker to interoperate with Web sites using HTTP and HTML protocols.
HTTPS_SSL_Reference.py	Shows how to configure X509 Digital Certificates for HTTPS communication in the TestMaker environment.
Lingo_Example.py	Lingo provides an English-like gibberish that is well suited to be the content of a posted message.
Mail_Examples.py	Demonstrates using the Mail protocol handler to send and receive email messages using SMTP, POP3 and IMAP protocols.
MultiPartforms_Example.py	Shows how to make multipart form submits to a host, including uploading files.
SOAP_Message_Example.py	Shows to use TestMaker to interoperate with SOAP-based Web Services using Document-literal encoding.
SOAP_RPC_Example.py	Shows to use TestMaker to interoperate with SOAP-based Web Services using SOAP RPC encoding.
TryPause.py	Shows how to use the Pause button from within a test agent script.
xDB_meister.py	Shows how a test agent script uses a relational database to receive or record data using a JDBC driver.
XQuery directory	Shows how to process XQuery scripts using TestMaker.
