As a special service "SfR Fresh" has tried to format the requested source page into HTML format using source code syntax highlighting with prefixed line numbers. Alternatively you can here view or download the uninterpreted source code file. That can be also achieved for any archive member file by clicking within an archive contents listing on the first character of the file(path) respectively on the according byte size field.

    3 The file named menu is the menu in the plain text file format. The files
    4 named menu.?? (?? are 2 characters, such as pt) are translations of the
    5 same menu. Plain text menus are preprocessed using cpp (the C Pre-Processor),
    6 so you can use cpp macros in it.

    8 The plmenu file is the same menu, but in the property list format.
    9 This menu can be edited with WPrefs.app, but since WPrefs.app does not
   10 support XIM, it will not allow you to make menus in languages such as
   11 Japanese.

   13 To use the menu in the property list format (plmenu), just replace the
   14 ~/GNUstep/Defaults/WMRootMenu with it. To use the plain text menu,
   15 place the path for the menu in ~/GNUstep/Defaults/WMRootMenu, enclosed
   16 in double quotes ("). Ex: "~/GNUstep/Library/WindowMaker/menu"

   18 Instructions for editing the plain text menus can be found in the menu
   19 file itself, kindly translated to your tongue for your convenience, by
   20 the translation contributors.

   22 There is a script to convert plain text menus to property list menus
   23 in the utils directory, named wm-oldmenu2new.

   25 If you are unsure to wich format to use, stick with the plain text menus
   26 as they are more flexible. If for some psychological reason you are
   27 scared by text based configuration, use the property list menu.
