"SfR Fresh" - the SfR Freeware/Shareware Archive

Member "tulp-4.2.1/examples/helpfile" of archive tulp-4.2.1.tar.gz:

As a special service "SfR Fresh" has tried to format the requested source page into HTML format using source code syntax highlighting with prefixed line numbers. Alternatively you can here view or download the uninterpreted source code file. That can be also achieved for any archive member file by clicking within an archive contents listing on the first character of the file(path) respectively on the according byte size field.

                    TULP -- User's Guide
                    -----------------------------

                         Version 4, July 1994

This version of TULP is a subset of the well-known LISTSERV that runs under VM
on lots of Bitnet nodes.

This tool was firstly designed to act as a relay for Bitnet/Internet lists
and as an archive-server (on a monthly basis). It's also possible to create
locally administred lists on node HOST.FOO.BAR, but my package does
not know of "owners" and other administrative functions. So anyone can
subscribe and contribute to any list he wishes.

Commands must be sent to <listserv@host.foo.bar> in a message without
subject.

Available verbs are:

HELp * Sends this help file
   LISt * Relayed conferences
REView list * Subscribers from a list
SUBscribe list Your name * Register to a list
SIGnoff list * End of subscription

INDex list * Index of files for a list
GET list file * Get a file

ADD list user@host User Name * Add a User (Owner only)
DEL list user@host * Delete a User (Owner Only)

Warning: some lists are archived.

Example:

  SUB minix-l Christophe Wolfhugel
  SIG minix-l
  REV ibmpc-l
  LIS

Requests are automatically treated by software, so if you get any problem with
it don't hesitate to drop me a message. Response time (for local senders) is
generrally under 1mn, except on very high loads. If you don't get the answer
fast, maybe the listserv is down...

Email accounts:

listman@host.foo.bar For any technical or administrative query.
  list-errors@host.foo.bar Error reports.
  listserv@host.foo.bar Requests (SUB, HELP, ...)
